What are the responsibilities and job description for the AI Architect position at Intel?
Architects, designs, and provides technical oversight of the development of Intel AI software. Scope may span the entire stack including firmware, drivers, frameworks, protocols, algorithms, and/or applications. Provides software structure and validation direction as required to enable Intel AI software solutions that integrate AI algorithms to solve applied problems in various disciplines (e.g., data analytics, computer vision) by utilizing current programming methodologies to translate machine learning models and dataprocessing methods into software. Responsible for pathfinding and providing technical direction for AI software development to solve applied problems across disciplines, including descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and/or prescriptive models. Interacts with technologists across Intel and within the industry to evaluate feasibility of requirements and determine priorities for development.

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field
6 Years of hands-on software development experience on Commercial or Open-Source projects with C or C , Java or Python (on Windows or Linux/Unix OSs).
3 Years of Experience using DL frameworks such as Caffe Tensor Flow, Keras, PyTorch.
3 Years of experience in developing/training or tuning Deep Learning SW/Models.
3 years of experience developing any parallel computing code (using OpenCL, CUDA, MPI, DPC or SIMD SW work)
3 years of experience using various SIMD systems (Neon/SSE/AVX etc.) and vector core fundamentals.
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or similar field
Strong understanding of AI model architectures, layers types, ops, activation functions.
Understanding of various techniques to optimize models for compute/perf (quantization, compression, sparsity, pruning, low precision).
Hands on experience working with Git (PR/MR workflows with GitHub or any Gitlab repos)
Strong knowledge of software data structures algorithms software architecture and fundamental concepts.
Any experience using modern SW Engineering and CI/CD tools/workflows in an Agile SW dev environment
Any hands-on work experience of working with few of the modern DL topologies (ResNet, mBERT, MobileNet or any GAN or NLP models)
Any experience working with virtualization dev tools/systems such as Docker, Conda or Python
Sound understanding of Computer Architecture fundamentals, including but not limited to knowledge of Cache/Memory hierarchies, function, and characteristics
