What are the responsibilities and job description for the Firmware Validation Architect (Remote) position at Intel?
FST Firmware Integration and Validation team is looking for a FW validation architect who is responsible for leading state-of-the-art UEFI FW (BIOS) quality design and execution for Intel server products.
This is a hands-on, fast paced role who thrives in the challenges of FW quality insurance flow design, key issue debug, data analytics and key stakeholder management. The candidate may also be able to lead a small team of technical contributors but the primary expectation for the role is of an individual technical contributor. We are looking for a dynamic and passionate individual who has a strong quality mindset ensuring the right FW quality with predictable delivery that customers can count on.
Your responsibility will include but not limited to:
Lead FIV validation team's technical engagement with Silicon, FW design and Platform teams as well as CSP/OEM/IBV experts.
Developing and maintaining Intel BIOS validation/Integrated FW Image (IFWI) process and methodologies.
Work across Intel to coordinate and drive necessary changes in FW components for delivering high quality FW stack to customers.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams architects (Si, microcode and other ingredients or BUs) to synergize and improve validation effectiveness and efficiency, and drive quality upfront.
Defining evaluation scope and coverage to meet the quality goal of Intel server product.
Leading complex issue debugging and support critical quality execution.
Driving validation data analytics and business intelligence to boost FW validation efficiency.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Major in CS or EE and have Master degree or higher. 8 years experience in industry. System software / BIOS / Firmware experience would be preferred.
Deep understanding of server architecture, IA micro architecture, platform hardware and software technologies.
Familiar with BIOS and Firmware architecture.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proven capability to debug complex hardware/software issues related to BIOS, OS, Hardware, as well as cross domain interaction.
Experience driving process improvements across functions and BUs- Excellent communication skills who can effectively influence technical experts in microarchitecture/server ingredient teams as well as customers.
Skilled in scripts development is a plus (e.g. Python).

$148,930.00-$238,410.00
