We are looking for a highly motivated Architect who will be responsible for specifying the requirements and owning the definition of Power Management IP and solutions for Next Generation Client (consumer and corporate laptops, desktops, and tablets) on cutting-edge internal and external process technology nodes.
In this unique role, the scope of opportunities, contributions and influence includes on-die, multi-die, and system-level power management solutions.
As power management controllers are the brains of modern multi-die power management schemes, the role naturally expands into great exposure and contribution opportunities across Intel.
Responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:
- Development domains include driving PMC workload optimizations.
- Platform boot and reset flows.
- Idle and active power management solutions.
- Platform survivability and robustness solutions.
- Evaluate future PMC technologies implemented in Hardware and/or Firmware/Software.
- Works with Chipset, CPU, and platform teams for cross-die solutions.
- Drives a common feature set across device, client and server PMC spaces.
Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Computer Engineering with 8 year's experience - OR - Master's in Computer Science or in the same field with 6 years of experience - OR - PhD with 4 years of experience:
Your experience must be in the following:
- Computer architecture.
- Architectural power/performance evaluation and validation methods.
- Power management role experience with IPs, subsystems or products.
- Post-silicon work and Power/Performance analysis/characterization.
- Experience in comprehending platform level architectural requirements and driving lower-level IP requirements.
- Embedded multi-processor systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of Intel's x86 architecture.
- Current Intel platforms.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, California: $156,410.00-$250,410.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience
