The Office of the CTO/Software and Advanced Technology Group (OCTO-SATG) at Intel defines, develops, and leads the implementation of new strategic, software-driven technologies to fuel the industry-shaping disruptions.
The Senior Strategic Planner will be responsible for providing software insight and plans to help drive the success of Intel's leading edge products and technology. In this high visibility role, you will have the opportunity to work with technical and business leaders on some of Intel's most advanced products and technologies.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading development of comprehensive software plans for future products - spanning operating systems, virtualization, developer tools, applications, firmware, and related ecosystem enabling.
- Helping lead Intel's software-first approach to product and technology development.
- Collaborating with technologists and other planners to identify software requirements and value for technologies going through pathfinding.
- Leading or contributing to strategic initiatives and related projects
- Driving project scoping and sizing with engineering management
- Working with, and establish trust with a diverse array of stakeholders across business units and engineering groups.
This position requires a combination of technical expertise and business acumen, the ability to work effectively across functional and organizational boundaries, and the aptitude to communicate effectively across technical, business, and management audiences. Effective program management skills are needed to collaborate with and lead large groups of stakeholders. You will need the skills to effectively develop and present recommendations to upper management.
Qualifications
The Senior Strategic Planner should be a driven, results-oriented individual with a collaborative mindset.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree with 10 years experience or master's degree with 6 years experience
- 4 years experience in product development, in either a business or technical role
- Broad understanding of computer hardware and software
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA
- MS or BS in engineering or computer science
- 4 years experience in strategic planning or product management
- Familiarity with datacenter/ cloud platforms and/or network platforms
- Experience working in or with the software ecosystem

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in US, Colorado, California: $136,750.00-$232,630.00
*Salary range dependent on a number of factors including location and experience

This role will be eligible for our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site. In certain circumstances the work model may change to accommodate business needs.
