What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Validation Technician position at Intel?
The System Quality and Reliability team within the Corporate Quality Network (CQN) organization owns the development and execution of stress tests in support of Product Release Qualification (PRQ) milestones. Products supported within our lab environment span Intel market segments and include client and server CPU, PCH, SoC, GPU, and Memory Controllers.
The System Quality and Reliability Validation Technician will be responsible for but not limited to:
Working with partner teams to define, enable, and execute system stress experiments that align with product and platform timelines.- These experiments typically involve controlling frequency, voltage, and temperature while running test benchmarks to artificial age and characterize parts.
- Planning and executing validation tasks such as running test plans test execution triage and open defects.
- Assembly and debug of platforms based on required HW configurations.
- Set up of SW, FW, and OSes according to test specs.

Qualifications
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Qualifications listed as preferred or additional will be considered a plus factor for applicants. Relevant experience can be obtained through school work, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.
Minimum qualifications:
- Technical degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or similar stream.
3 years of Software/Hardware test validation experience in one of the following:
- Experience building up and maintaining servers and/or client systems.
- Independently debugs cards, boards, systems.
- Configuring BIOS, BMC, Upgrading Firmware, Driver Installs.
- Experience in removing/installing /troubleshooting server baseboards, CPU's, DIMM's, and storage devices.
- OS installs (including Windows and Linux)
- Experience with network infrastructure support, cabling, KVMs and PDU's.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Willingness to lift 50 lbs independently.
- Creates/modifies training and execution plans for lab operational tasks.
- Basic knowledge of high-level programming languages (Python, C#, Java)
- Experience with modern version control systems (Git, SVN) and issue tracking (GitHub\GitLab, JIRA).
- Experience in Platform setup and validation methodologies.
- Solid understanding of computer architecture.
