Job Description


Job Summary:

As a software developer on the Cloud Platform team in R&D, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining Intelerad's Cloud Platform for its cloud applications.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of major features of Intelerad’s products

  • Apply professional design and development best-practices

  • Balance deadlines, functionality, and quality

  • Proficiency in product knowledge and business space

  • Understand the constraints of operating in a regulated development environment

  • Lead in the improvement of and adherence to Intelerad’s policies, procedures, and practices

  • Document your work appropriately (requirements, designs, code, training information, etc.)

  • Participate in project scoping, requirements gathering, and time estimation

  • Strive to complete your deliverables according to requirements and within the time estimates

  • Balance maintenance responsibilities with project deliverables.

  • Provide management with accurate and timely data regarding task progress

  • Provide training to new team members and the different support teams.

  • Stay current with developments in your discipline and share with the team your knowledge and promote opportunities for growth and improvement.


Qualifications


Required Experience/Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, related discipline or equivalent skills and practical industry experience

  • 2 years professional experience developing commercial software, including:

  • Modern application development practices (Git, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, etc)

  • Professional release management practices

  • Linux/Unix environment

  • Good experience with design patterns

  • Experience with Unix, shell scripts, command line

  • Experience writing unit tests and e2e tests

  • Curious, Highly motivated to excel and team-oriented

  • Ability to adapt to working with a wide array of technologies and languages


Desired qualifications:

  • Experience with a broad range of AWS technologies (e.g., EKS, AMI, RDS, Cloud Watch, IAM, S3, R53)

  • Understanding of Kubernetes

  • Experience with a variety of Cloud Languages and tools: Golang, Terraform, Helm, Kustomize

  • Experience in a DevOps environment

  • Operating Systems development experience

  • Familiarity with the Agile and Scrum methodology

  • Strong communication skills (verbal, and written)
