ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Cross training in existing processes and new processes.
Places parts in specified relationship to each other.
Bolts, clips, screws, cements, or otherwise fastens parts together.
Tends machines, such as gluing machine, perforating machines, rotaries, presses or riveting machine, to perform force fitting or fastening operations.
Works at different workstations as production needs require.
May work on line at different stations where tasks vary as different models of same product move along the production line.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move 15 pounds or less. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
JOB PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
1. Produce according to the Production schedule.
2. Identifies quality issues and has them resolved immediately.
3. Does not exceed the allowed number of absences as defined in the employee manual.
4. Zero accidents while operating company machinery.
5. Exhibits flexibility/willingness to learn new technologies/techniques, and new processes.
6. Exhibits ability to apply new processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
