What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabrication Welder position at Intelligen?
Job Title: Welder General Purpose:
This position is responsible for fabricating various sheet metal products utilizing drawings, instructions and company guidelines. Primary Accountabilities*:
• Operate welding equipment to work with carbon steel in various thicknesses in horizontal and vertical positions (stainless steel and aluminum also as required)
• Proficient in tig and wire welding
• Visualize what finished products should look like (print reading)
• Finish grinding on welded sheet metal using a hand grinder.
Welded/ground corners are to be cosmetically adequate.
• Repair improperly welded pieces and fill holes
• Perform all duties in safe and efficient manner according to company and OSHA guidelines.
• Participate fully in and support the Fabricating Quality System Qualifications:
• Must wear proper protective equipment as required
• Be punctual with good attendance a must
• Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen
• Able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
