As a State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA), you will have the freedom to manage your own schedule and choose when, where, and how often you work. You will be responsible for assisting residents in various facilities, including ALFs, SNFs, and post-acute care settings. Your duties will include helping residents with daily living activities, monitoring their vital signs, and maintaining a clean and hygienic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with mobility, personal hygiene, toileting, feeding, and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Monitor residents' vital signs and report any concerns to supervising staff
- Maintain a clean and hygienic environment by changing linens and cleaning residents' rooms
- Offer companionship and emotional support to residents and their loved ones
- Communicate effectively with medical professionals, visitors, and family members
Requirements:
- Current Ohio State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) certification
- Knowledge of medical terms and basic nursing care procedures
- Strong observational skills and attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills and effective communication
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
