IntePros is seeking a highly skilled Business System Analyst (BSA) for a leading health insurance organization based in Philadelphia. This role is crucial to ensuring the effective delivery of data warehouse solutions, where you will serve as the bridge between business needs and technical implementation. We are unable to work C2C on this position! This role requires 3 days per week on-site in Philadelphia!
Key Responsibilities:
- Requirements Gathering & Analysis: Work closely with business clients to determine system requirements, develop detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), and Mapping documents for ETL applications.
- System Recommendations: Recommend system criteria, project scope, and perform analysis to identify potential problems, system enhancements, and necessary upgrades.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Plan and consult with business clients on data reporting needs, providing insights through data profiling, complex SQL queries, and trending reports.
- Documentation & Design: Oversee the design and development of user system documentation and ensure all system designs are accurately documented.
- Collaboration & Communication: Serve as the primary contact for defining business and functional system requirements, ensuring clear communication between stakeholders and technical teams.
- Testing & Validation: Perform system testing, assist in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and ensure production readiness through rigorous verification processes.
- Mentorship: Mentor junior team members, guiding them in best practices and technical processes.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years as a Business Systems Analyst, with a strong background in data warehousing and ETL applications.
- Expertise in writing SQL queries across multiple tables and conducting data analysis/profiling.
- Proficient in creating BRDs, FRDs, and Source-to-Target mapping documents.
- Familiarity with one or more database products (Teradata, DB2, Oracle, etc.).
- Understanding of data integration and ETL methodologies.
