Network Engineer role & responsibilities:
- Lead the research, development, and the enterprise-wide integration and implementation of new and emerging technologies.
- Implement and support the global network environment and systems for large/complex financial networks.
- Design/deploy inter-network solutions including the physical and logical configuration documentation and procedures.
- Must have an in-depth understanding of data center and enterprise core architecture.
- Apply technical training, experience, leadership and knowledge in order to assist customers, partners and other teams in the support of the network and deliverables.
- Use specialized tools, techniques, and procedures to identify and understand various product problems and to select appropriate actions to resolve issues.
- Building out floors, core, circuits, QOS, wireless
- Standards, diagrams (Visio)
- DNS, IPLK
- VXLAN, Spine/Leaf architecture is preferred
- CCNP Enterprise certification is preferred
- Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Orion, Splunk
- Any financial services industry experience is a plus due to understanding of change control, process, standards, run books
- Degree is a plus but not required
- Need a go-getter personality who can work on their own
