What are the responsibilities and job description for the Relief Operator 3rd Shift Pre-Coating RCA position at Interface, Inc.?
Position summary:
The primary objective of the relief operator is to ensure top quality carpet for the customer. The relief operator is responsible for knowing, and being able to perform, at any given time, any job on the line. The relief operator is required to fill in when other employees are absent, including breaks.
Educational requirements:
High school diploma or GED
Skills and experience:
Good communication skills, verbal and written
Working knowledge off all Latex Line jobs.
Meet license requirements for powered material handling equipment
Previous machine operation experience preferred
Essential duties:
Run jobs when operators are absent or on break
Assist with seaming, inspection, or roll up duties when not giving breaks.
Maintain housekeeping
Comply with safety rules
Comply with environmental regulations
Be aware of departmental material safety data sheets (MSDS)
Perform other duties as assigned
Understand and comply with ISO programs
Understand and support Interface’s commitment to sustainability
Physical demands:
Working 8, 10 or 12 hour shifts
Standing for long periods of time
Work environment:
Non-climate controlled manufacturing environment
