Planer Operator Lvl 4 - Perry, GA
We are currently recruiting for a Planer Operator position. As a planer operator, you will be responsible for the operation of the planer machine. This starting rate for this position is $22.40 per hour.
What You’ll Do
- Observe planning machine operation and adjust controls to ensure highest quality standards
- Perform routine/preventative maintenance on all planer machine equipment
- Operate in a safe and productive manner to prevent injuries
- Maintain housekeeping standards in and around designated area
- Identify ways to improve quantity and quality
What You Offer
- High School education or GED preferred
- Knowledge of planer operation
- 2-3 years in lumber operations
- Ability to meet standards in all areas when trained]
- Good work ethic and use good judgment
- Able to follow instructions
- Ability to utilize time wisely and be flexible
- Commitment to maintain a safe work environment without compromise
- Ability to recognize problems and have them corrected immediately
- Understanding of the importance of teamwork and have a positive impact on the team.
- Able to communicate effectively with your team and other departments
- Personal responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
