Our Operations & Mission Support Division is seeking a Senior Lead, Training Specialist to join a team at Fort Gordon, GA (Augusta) in support of the PM Tactical Radios proposal effort.
Responsibilities
Selected, qualified candidates will perform the following:
Serves as technical advisor/instructor/team leader applying an intensive practical knowledge of PEO C3T training devices, electronics, and networks to those who will be using and supporting such items.
- Leads the development of training materials and conducts classes in proper operation and maintenance procedures to PEO C3T programs and various agencies within the Department of Defense.
- Provides resident and on-site technical assistance and training (both platform and hands-on) in the operation and maintenance of assigned systems and associate items to gaining audits/installations in/from CONUS and OCONUS locations.
- Acts as expert in training students in tasks required to test-operate, align, repair, service, and fault-isolate / troubleshoot the particular system to the lowest-replaceable units.
- Interprets and articulates signal analysis, schematic diagram analysis, block diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
- Inform students of the complete objective purpose of the lesson while maintaining motivation and interest throughout the entire classroom instruction.
- Instructs on the theory of operation along with Operation of the complete system to include electronics, computer programming, and analysis of malfunction reports, system trouble shooting, and repair up to depot level.
- Conducts training courses with a professional understanding of the principals of learning and teaching methods, and be able to demonstrate their ability to apply principles and methods. Provides responses and answers to questions/problems from the field.
- Identifies the best approach training requirements, to include, but not limited to, hardware, software, simulations, course assessment and refreshment, assessment centers, oral examination, interviews, computer assisted and adaptive testing, behavior based assessment and performance, team and unit assessment and measurement.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree in one of the following: Engineering, Communications, or related field
- Minimum of 15 years experience with tactical radio communications systems to include the following; SINCGARS Radio Sets to include legacy ASIP Radio Sets, AN/PRC-148(V)2 and (V)4s, AN/PRC-152s, High Frequency (HF) Radios Sets to include the AN/PRC-150 and AN/PRC-160, Legacy SATCOM Radios such as the AN/PSC-5C and the AN/PRC-117F/G, software defined radios such as the AN/PRC-154A/C, AN/PRC-155, AN/PRC-148C, AN/PRC-163, AN/PRC-158, and AN/PRC-162 and Tactical Networking Radios such as the AN/PRC-166, AN/PRC-168.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance at the Secret level for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
