School RN - Newport News - $48/hr

Job Summary:

Interim HealthCare is currently seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team as a school nurse at our Newport News location. This is a full time contracted position with a pay rate of $48 per hour with day shift availability. You must have at least 2 years of recent and relevant experience as a school nurse.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess patient's vital signs, lab results, and overall condition
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered by the physician
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Educate and support patients and their families on their condition and treatment plan
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care
• Adhere to all healthcare and safety regulations and standards
  
  
  

Requirements:

• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Virginia
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a school setting
• BLS certifications
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
