School Based Home Care Aide HCA

Interim Healthcare of NEPA is seeking a School Based Home Health Aide (HHA) to attend school with a special needs male elementary aged student in Susquehanna County. MUST HAVE PEDIATRIC EXPERIENCE AND EXPERIENCE WITH SPECIAL NEEDS!

School Based Home Health Aides (HHAs) are members of the interdisciplinary team who provide hands-on personal care, report changes in the client’s condition, perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services, and provide incidental/instrumental activities of daily living to clients in the home setting as evaluated/delegated and as permitted by the policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare and any other federal, state and local law or regulation.

Company Benefits School Based Home Health Aide (HHA):

• Pay rate up to $16 per hour, paid weekly
• Location: New Milford, Pennsylvania
• Schedule: Monday through Friday between 7:30am and 2:30pm
  • Follow schools schedule throughout the year
  • UNPAID; holidays, weekends, winter vacation, spring break, summer, etc. 
  • Other work available; 1:1 home care, group homes, long term care, ESY program (summer)

Essential Functions of the School Based Home Health Aide (HHA):

• Attend school with a pediatric client
• Potential travel with client from home to school and school to home
• Report any incidents to classroom teacher and designated supervisor
• Follow care plan and maintain proper documentation according to Pennsylvania State Laws
• Follow HIPAA standards
• Most importantly provide quality care and a safe environment

Requirements:

• Must have a Highschool Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have one (1) year experience with Pediatrics.
• Must have one (1) year experience working with Special Needs.
• Must have a reliable form of transportation
• Must be willing to undergo pre-employment screenings; drug screening, criminal background, fingerprints, child abuse history, physical, etc.
