While each healthcare role is unique, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:
- Care for patients with a variety of illnesses, injuries and diseases in facilities such as assisted living facilities, skilled nursing facilities and their homes.
- Work with a team of physicians, nurses, and therapists to deliver exceptional patient care
- Assess patients, document their progress and provide specialized care based on your role
- Follow plan of care, ensure patient goals are met
- Educate patient and family on established goals, medical equipment, safety and self-care
A few must-haves for Aides and CNA’s, based on your role:
- High School Graduate in state of Indiana
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in respective field, preferably in a medical facility
- CPR certification
- Knowledge of state and federal healthcare laws and regulations
- Clinical proficiency in field, strong interpersonal skills, good communicator and compassionate
