What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hospice Nurse Practitioner - PRN position at Interim Healthcare?
Our Certified Nurse Practitioners have been called to care when they’re needed most. As a member of our hospice team, you’ll support a full range of patient services to bring comfort and dignity to our clients.
What you’ll do:
- Performs bedside palliative care patient/family evaluation and assists with diagnosis, treatment and management of acute and chronic health conditions.
- Consults with palliative care physician or designees as needed, informs primary physician of services provided and collaborates with other physicians as needed.
- Prescribes medications including controlled substances to the extent delegated and licensed.
- Prepares and maintains accurate patient records, charts and documents to support sound medical practice and reimbursement for services provided
What we’re looking for:
- Advanced Practice Nurse licensed in the state
- Registered Nurse licensed in the state
- Controlled Substance license
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
