What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Office Support position at Interim HealthCare?
Interim HealthCare has a current opening for a Medical Office Support, Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.
- Provide office support in faxing, filing and tracking of documents sent to physicians.
- Receives and coordinates all incoming calls, providing patients/clients and referral sources with basic information to assist in accessing appropriate services
- Assists the Office Manager (or designee) in establishing and monitoring compliance with quality and operations standards.
- Assists with weekly payroll processing for staff
- Ensures all assigned office functions are completed in compliance with federal, state, local laws and JCAHO regulations as well as all policies, procedures, and standards of Interim HealthCare.
- Promotes agency through education to prospective and existing patients/clients.
- Provides input to management on improving processes and procedures, developing recognition and reward programs, and becoming more cost and time efficient
- May have access to personal health information ("PHI") necessary to fulfill the above duties and responsibilities. Access to use and ability to disclose PHI is further defined by each organization/department.
Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- One year experience in healthcare, or related industry
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated helpful, courteous, and outgoing approach.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Excel required.
