What are the responsibilities and job description for the Furniture Showroom- Administrative Assistant position at INTERIOR ILLUSIONS?
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Providing general assistance around the Showroom.
· Greet our clients in a prompt, professional and polite manner as part of our team.
· Assist with purchase orders, filling and sales material updates
· Support showroom changes, tagging merchandise and helping maintain displays and a clean and orderly showroom and backroom.
· Create tear sheets for incoming product.
· Assist with vendor follow up, checking current pricing , stock and ETA's
· Assist designer and manager with any customer service needs.
· Assist CEO and controller with any special projects...for example, product research, designer boards ..etc
· Maintain high standards of cleanliness within the working environment.
· Provide friendly and efficient service during merchandise pickups and safely load merchandise into the customer’s cars.
· Able to lift at least 40lb, assemble furniture, wrap furniture and hang artwork
· Load and unload merchandise from trucks, assemble merchandise correctly and handle with care to prevent damage.
· Follows all company safety and accident procedures while on company premises or operating company vehicles or equipment.
· Exemplify a team approach and be open and honest in communication and help others when they need assistance.
· Cleaning furniture and accessories when added to inventory, and after repair or refurbishing prior to customer pick up
· Assisting in the maintenance of organization, safety, and cleanliness in the showroom
· Performing any other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
*High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
*Clean driving record
*Capacity to analyze a situation and prioritize tasks
*Operating equipment such as hand tools, electric drills, screwdrivers, hand truck
*Strong communication skills
*Exceptional customer service skills
*Ability to learn basic, yet detailed, information about furniture, retail and interior design
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
