Interior Designer

Interior Designer | Luxury Residential Interior Design | Baltimore, MD

This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate, detail-oriented, and collaborative Interior Designer to join a talented team publicized regionally and nationally from Coastal Living to Mountain Living, including recognitions of “top designers”. In this role as the Interior Designer, you are a vital component of the collaborative team project managing, leading construction scheduling, pricing furniture, working with vendors, and making design presentations for projects. Allow your passion for design to shine as you project manage and support in producing high-end residential design projects with the team. Leverage your design and project management expertise to deliver exceptional client experience and design.

Key Responsibilities

• Design across all phases of work including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documents, and Construction Administration
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, consultants, and other key stakeholders in the project
• Assist team to prepare and deliver client presentations

Qualifications

• Degree in Interior Design or related field of Design
• 3 years of experience in luxury hospitality and high-end residential environments is an asset
• Strong abilities in AutoCAD, AutoCAD LT; Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop
• Experience with Interior Design Business Software like Studio Designer (or similar)
• Experience with purchasing and budgets.
• Experience selecting and specifying lighting, furnishings, hardware, floor/window coverings, materials, and finishes.
• Ability to create a set of construction drawings, specifications, and schedule
• Ability to create and manage Excel spreadsheets
• Knowledge of and/or ability to learn timekeeping and billing software
• Ability to interact effectively with the design team on multiple projects and exhibit leadership qualities at all times for team members.
• Excellent presentation skills, including space planning and drawing
• Knowledge of trade resources and vendors
