Summary/Objective
The Closing Coordinator assists closers with setting up files and ordering funds for closing, facilitating the timely closing of loans.
Essential Duties
Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to carry out essential functions.
- Orders funds from warehouse banks for the title companies to disburse.
- Reviews files on the closing log, requests document corrections and missing items and assigns acceptable files to closers.
- Manages the closing inbox, sorting emails and responding to questions addressed to closing.
- Facilitates the approval of Power of Attorney rights for applicable files. Corresponds with the attorneys and branches to ensure approval.
- Requests executed Closing Disclosures from title companies for prefunded loans. Uploads them to their respective files.
- Mails checks from accounting to borrowers for insurance payments, repair escrows and lender cures.

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience
Requires a high school diploma or a G.E.D. and up to a year of mortgage experience.
Preferred Education/Experience
Preferable to have an associate’s or bachelor’s degree and up to a year of mortgage experience.
Additional Qualifications for Eligibility
Additional qualifications include knowledge of compliance and mortgage documents.
