Metal Fabricator

Intermountain Electronics, Inc., a world-class company that designs, engineers and manufactures sophisticated, custom electrical distribution and control equipment is seeking a Metal Fabricator at its Denver, CO facility.

Majorresponsibilities include:

• Positions, aligns, fits, and welds together sheet material pieces to AWS specifications.
• Weld using MIG welder and pulse process.
• Reads and understands bending details and design diagrams.
• Understands layout and plans sequence of operations.
• Sets up and operates fabricating machines such as brakes, shears, flame cutters, grinder, iron worker, and drill presses.
• Verifies conformance of work piece to specifications.
• Fabricates and assembles sheet metal products.
• Reads prints and visualize what is being made.
• Ability to read a tape measure and other measuring devices.
• Operate a forklift and overhead crane.

$22-$27 hour depending on experience
Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

• Must have a knowledge and skills to perform correct and accurate measurements.
• Must be proficient in welding processes, including GMAW/MIG welding.
• Ability to read and interpret design diagrams.
• Operate and maintain various hand tools.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those encountered in the course of the work.

Requires a High School Diploma or GED, plus one to two yrs. experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
