Job Description: Supply Chain Float Pool will be trained in various areas of the supply chain to help fill the gaps in daily coverage as needed. Posting Specifics Salary: $18.40 (flat rate) Shift Details: PRN - as needed, no guaranteed hours Openings: 2 openings available in Utah County (will float between locations - primarily American Fork Hospital and Utah Valley Hospital) Supply Chain Float Pool Specialists will be trained in various areas of the supply chain to help fill the gaps in daily coverage as needed. These areas may include: Warehouse (IMAT / Homecare) – This function participates in all Fulfillment Center activities including stocking, picking, packing, equipment cleaning, and shipping medical products in compliance with Intermountain Healthcare's governing processes, procedures, outlined training practices, and employee safety practices. This position also participates in maintaining warehouse cleanliness, maintaining equipment, team and individual continuous improvement activities, and education. Central Laundry – This function sorts soiled linen into pre-determined categories for the proper wash classification, operates flatwork irons and prepares linen for order processing, hand folds clean linen and scrubs, and assists with order preparation, and staging of clean linen, for deliver to the facilities. Sign Center – This function works with Sign Center staff to create various signs, this requires using sign-making equipment to create backgrounds, lettering and artwork for wayfinding signs, lobby signs, banners and posters and other interior signage. Asset Recovery – This function proactively manages assets at the end life cycle for maximum value and corporate social, community, and environmental responsibility that is consistent with our mission and values. This position identifies reuse opportunities, sales options, donation possibilities, and green disposal processes of end of life cycle and excess assets. Runner – This function orders and delivers supplies for assigned department, facility, or clinical program using appropriate technology, systems, and suppliers. Processes all applicable documents (e.g., freight bill, bill of lading, packing slips, other documents relevant to receiving or shipping) according to Intermountain policy and procedure to ensure prompt and correct computer input and filing. This function drives a light or medium duty vehicle less than 10,000 GVW, making deliveries of equipment, packages, specimens, and supplies. The routes vary from short local routes of only a few miles to long distance routes covering up to 500 plus miles per day. Inventory Specialist- This position is responsible for the inventory management activity for assigned departments or clinical program including distribution and inventorying of supply areas to ensure that the correct medical products, linen and equipment (a.k.a. ‘supplies’) are stocked and ready for clinical use. Projects – This function will focus on Supply Chain assembly projects as needed. Minimum Qualifications Valid driver's license with no restrictions. Demonstrated ability to perform tasks requiring manual and physical labor. Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and dependability. Complies with all health safety rules to minimize exposure (masks, impervious protective clothing and gloves). Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and demonstrate mutual respect to others.
