Taxpayer Services, Customer Assistance, Relationship and Education, Stakeholder Partnerships, Education & Communication (SPEC), Area 2 Detroit Territory 205
SPEC Mission Statement: Assist taxpayers in satisfying their tax responsibilities by building and maintaining partnerships with key stakeholders, seeking to create and share value by informing, educating, and communicating with our shared customers.
SPEC accomplishes the mission through establishing relationships with partners and volunteers through the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. VITA is an IRS-sponsored program that provides underserved communities with free tax filing assistance, using IRS-certified volunteers.

The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:GS-11 Level: You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes:
OR
PH.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field of study.
OR
Three full academic years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in a related field of study from an accredited college or university.
OR
LL.M. if related
OR
A combination of qualifying graduate education and experience as described above.
