Location: San Diego, CA USA Job Overview: The Afghan Refugee School Impact (ARSI) program is a new statewide program designed to provide a range of direct services to newly arrived youth and families from Afghanistan. Locally, IRC is one of several services providers who will implement programs with the objective of connecting youth and families with available resources and providing them with academic and social support needed to integrate into their communities. The Family Engagement Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily implementation of all ARSI family services including group workshops and events on topics including but not limited to: K-12 academic support, stress management and well-being, caregiver support groups, family engagement, and recreational outings; and individual case management and resource navigation utilizing internal and external resources. Major Responsibilities: Job Requirements: Education: Undergraduate degree in the social services field required.
