Sales - comm'l heat treat

Large comm'l heat treat in growing markets seeking strong sales engineer to develop new business, generate quotes, and build out existing accounts.

Job Functions:

• Generate leads, updates company sales and marketing database, manage sales funnels and close orders for heat treating services provided by the company.
• Generates leads from using many sources such as trade journals, industry association websites, referrals from current customers, other business relationships and personally developed sources.
• Negotiates sales terms within limits of designated authority. Presents thoroughly vetted sales orders to site General management for input then to direct manager for approval prior to issuing to the customerCreates and conducts seminars and/or webinars that will be attended by target customers or existing customer to demonstrate company's technical capabilities. Generates orders from these efforts.

• Develops and expands knowledge and comfort with the latest technologies in Heat Treatment of metal components from the automotive industry and (insert other industries that the sales rep will target).
• Will conduct weekly Cold-calling and prospecting for potential clients using established and individually creative processes to build a sales funnel and prospect list.
• Updates and reviews the sales funnel weekly with direct supervisor using CRM system in place at the company.
  
• May assist the site General Manager with resolution and settlement of customer claims.
• May attend conferences, trade shows and other informal meetings to develop relationships with current clients and potential clients and to add to the sales representative’s industry specific knowledge.
• Prepares and submit reports on sales prospects and forecasts to sales management or finance dept on a regular basis. May research competitors to obtain competitive intelligence.

Qualifications:

• Prior Sales experience (preferably plant production) in industrial heat treating of metal components . Other manufacturing related sales will be considered if related to manufacturing services involving metal.
• Possess a Batchelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration or Marketing Mechanical engineering, Industrial engineering, Manufacturing engineering degree will be considered as well.
• At least ten (10) years of successful sales experience that can be demonstrated in an interview with examples of sales achievements, market penetration and new customer acquisition.
