POSITION SUMMARY:
The Financial Systems Analyst is responsible for the financial data movement of various financial systems to the Oracle EPM/Hyperion applications to ensure accuracy, identify discrepancies and resolve issues that arise for month end closes. They will work with system interfaces and business processes, as well as provide support to the agencies and corporate teams who utilize these financial systems on a global scale.
This position also contributes and supports financial system conversions, projects that impact financial processes, systems and data, and other special projects as needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for data loads, reconciliations and processes associated with the month-end closing and consolidations accounting processes from SAP general ledger systems to the Oracle EPM/Hyperion applications
- Coordinate, troubleshoot and resolve data movement issues associated with either accounting and/or systems processes
- Supports internal and external audit and controls requirements
- Maintains data interfaces (e.g., Oracle EPM, FDMEE, SAP)
- Maintains documentation of procedures and business processes
- Interact with internal clients to resolve technical and other user issues. Provide prompt and effective online, phone and email support to the global end user community
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance
- Effective comprehension of financial reporting, and internal and external controls requirements
- Experience in financial consolidations and close processes, including intercompany eliminations
- 3 years supporting accounting/finance organization and processes
- 3 years SAP Reporting and SAP AO experience
- Oracle EPM (HFM/Hyperion) applications, Smart View for Office, and Oracle FDMEE experience is a plus
- Requires strong personal computer skills, specifically Microsoft Excel
- Experience with reconciling and analyzing large sets of data across various systems is a plus
- Highly organized with the ability to respond quickly to new challenges and priorities
- Must be meticulous with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks to meet strict deadlines effectively
- Must be flexible, work independently and be adaptable to change
- Understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices is a plus
- Initiative to drive improvements and automation in systems and accounting/business processes
- Have the desire to learn new products and systems
REPORTING AND WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:
This position reports to the Executive Director of Financial Consolidations Systems within the Financial Consolidation Systems organization. The Financial Systems Analyst works with a seasoned team of analysts, administrators, and developers.
