Material Coordinator

Interstate Assembly Systems is looking for a Materials Coordinator for our Sacramento California location. We are offering highly competitive wages!

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Materials Coordinator to optimize our company's supply chain operations. The Material Coordinator fulfills a critical role in our operations. This individual will ensure that all purchased materials are ordered, received, stocked, and pulled for production through the standard business processes. Success will come through adherence to process and being aware of and attentive to, the needs of production.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Learn and follow all materials processes in the JDE operating system
• Order parts and materials via the PO process, based on demand in the system and needs outside of daily production
• Receive parts and materials in JDE on a daily basis by the established daily cut off time
• Release pick lists for builds in a timely manner based on build BOMs
• Modify work orders for returned materials or newly requested materials within the work day the request is made
• Maintain accurate documentation related to material transactions, such as receipts, invoices, and inventory records
• Execute cycle counts provided by the Materials Manager
• Prepare reports on material usage, inventory levels, and other relevant metrics to provide insights for decision-making and process improvement
• Assist in the yearly physical inventory count
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery, negotiate terms, and resolve any issues that may arise
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work collaboratively with other team members
• Fluent in MS Excel and Word
• Ability to navigate and leverage internal operating software
• Dress appropriately for the job
  • Safety glasses when on the shop floor
  • Safety toe shoes when handling parts and materials
  • Close toed shoes at all times
