Environmental Project Manager
PSI, an Intertek company, is searching for an Environmental Project Manager to join our Building & Construction team in our Kansas City, KS office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the environmental, engineering, and construction industry!
The ideal Project Manager candidate is someone who has been exposed to the field work aspects and has performed the field work and knows the processes, and is now looking to transition into a forward-facing role that will involve data interpretation and navigating multiple regulatory agencies at the local, state, and federal level.
The Project Manager will support the Building and Construction business by providing Environmental Consulting, Phase I and Phase II site assessments. Candidate will be responsible for leading complex projects through the regulatory process and/or requiring innovative investigation techniques.
What you’ll do:
- Performing Phase II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), Limited Site Investigations (LSI) and Site Characterizations as directed by various regulatory agencies
- Directing Environmental Drilling, field sampling activities, remediation system oversight and/or maintenance
- Provide Environmental Consulting to clients while building client relationship and business development.
- Develop Quotes and Cost Estimates for Environmental Investigations
- Coordinates with management and field staff in completing project schedules and adherence deadlines.
- Communication and coordination with clients, regulators and sub-contractors.
- Assist in developing, budgeting and managing a wide variety of projects.
What it takes to be successful in this role:
- BS in Environmental Science, Geology or Hydrogeology or related field required
- 5 years of all phases of environmental consultation including site assessments, investigations, remediation, and have leadership and management experience
- Experience navigating the local, state, and federal regulatory agencies is preferred
- P.G. is preferred
- Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential, both written and verbal
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record (required)
