Job Overview
Oversee all aspects of projects under the EVP US Education Company as required. Coordinate and complete projects on time within budget and within scope. As INTO implements its new strategy, there is a need for project management to ensure robust delivery of the company’s ambitious plans. This position plays a key role in the coordination and completion of all projects assigned to the Executive Vice President, US Education Company.
Key Responsibilities
This is a valued role in a growing, dynamic organization, so the responsibilities of the position may change over time but will include the following:
Planning & Coordination
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members
- Manage, monitor, and track projects using a project management tool to be determined such as Monday, Trello, or Planner
- Set deadlines, assign responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of projects
- Delegate project tasks based on staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets, experience levels, and roles
- Document and forecast risks and plan for risk mitigations
- Manage project documentation
Relationship Building
- Establish and manage relationships with the client and relevant stakeholders
- Meet with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project
Reporting
- Assist in the preparation of reports of project status to upper management
- Report and escalate to management as needed
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
Resource Management
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors across multiple projects
- Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
Essential:
- Undergraduate degree or relevant equivalent experience
- Expert knowledge of both Agile and traditional project management principles, practices, and tools.
- Experience as a Project Manager successfully implementing large, complex projects with multi-function teams using Agile methodologies.
- Ability to deliver programs and projects in an ambiguous and often changing landscape.
- A balanced business/technical background providing credible leadership across functions.
- Experience of successfully leading multicultural teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advise, coach, manage, and mentor more junior project/change managers often via matrix leadership, to build capacity.
- Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands.
- Excellent resource planning and management
- Creative approach to problem-solving with the ability to focus on details while maintaining the “big picture” view.
- Expertise in transformational change and change management methods and their application, with emphasis on driving measurable business results.
- Ability to travel for work globally
Desirable:
- SAFe, scrum, lean certification
- PMP, PMI-ACP, CSM, or equivalent
- Change Management certification
- Experience using Monday.com
- Additional language skills, beyond English, to business level.
- Experience in business coaching would be advantageous.
Reporting Line
The role reports to the EVP, US Education Company.
Employment Terms
This is a temporary (6 month), short-term assignment position.
Location
This position is fully remote, based in the United States. Travel within the US and abroad may be necessary and flexibility is required to meet the demands of the post, including occasional weekend working. The post holder may be reasonably required to work from any INTO or partner location at any time.
