Responsibilities: • Market and brand MCASAC programs, services, events, promotions, which include the design & production of handouts, banners, and other promotional materials, including videos. • Copywrite marketing material drafts and graphic design of all content produced. • Coordinate the translation of materials from English to Spanish language. • Design, order and stock promotional items such as stickers, magnets, pencils, etc. • Collect and select media appearances, coordinate and attend interviews and media appearances at MCASAC and offsite, and collect and develop information for press releases. Mileage within a 75-mile radius of MCASAC is non reimbursable. • Establish and maintain a positive relationship with the media to facilitate the promotion of various facility services, programs and activities. • Serve as the Division’s point of contact for the photography of shelter animals and use of photographs to include training and overseeing volunteer photo assistants as they obtain photos of animals and submit them for MCASAC use and coordinates visits of and oversee external studio teams as well as individuals during photo shoots at MCASAC. • Manages “wish list” of requested donations. • Assists with the development and planning of curriculums for school visits and other humane education-related programs. • Assist with technical aspects of content strategy and digital postings, posting/editing, social media and website maintenance and enhancement. • Monitor, audit, and assess the effectiveness of digital and social media efforts and recommend content optimization strategies across all digital and social channels. • Set up new site pages/sections and campaign landing pages for website. • Develop content/publishing calendars; write or edit articles/items/posts about organization programs and services for our digital and social platforms. • Track and report on site metrics and continuously make recommendations on enhancements that will improve results. Provide analysis of reports. • Keep current with emerging web technologies and content types through relevant blogs, websites, and events. • Create and maintain multimedia, including photo galleries, slideshows and videos embedded in Web pages. • Knowledge of animal handling techniques, behavior patterns in domestic animals, proper procedures for the care and maintenance of animals housed in an animal shelter, common diseases and injuries in dogs, cats and other domestic animals and breed identification and characteristics. • Provide strong customer service, interpersonal communication skills, including public speaking and the ability to effectively represent the Division on live television and radio. • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with volunteers and the public. • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. • Prioritize and organize work on difference projects occurring simultaneously. • 5 years of experience in each of the following: • Website management and design; HTML experience necessary. • Creating content for various digital platforms; Adobe Suite experience necessary. • Experience with using Adobe Creative Suite for content creation and manipulation, audio-video editing, and media output and encoding for different platforms. • Maintaining a website and social media profiles including (but not limited to) Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram in a business environment. • Preferred experience in Chameleon software of similar shelter database software. • Creative, technical, and analytical aptitude; familiarity with Google Analytics. • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Information Systems or related Responsibilities: • Provide daily support for Public Safety data systems and end user support to include installation, troubleshooting, configuration, and deployment of servers, virtual machines, network, desktop, and software applications. • Perform & report on system & application testing including conformance to supplied specifications, requirements & best practices. • Documentation and management of issue escalations for the Agency.
Salary : $67,900 - $86,000
