We are looking for an Integrated Fire Control Network Engineer to support the Program Management Integrated Fires Mission Command (PM IFMC) in the development, review, and assessment of current and evolving digital communications network designs for US Army Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) systems.

Your day-to-day work will include:

  • Provide technical expertise for tactical communications equipment and systems in support of research, development, integration, and acquisition efforts.
  • Work with government and prime contractor teams to assess component integration approaches, monitor progress, and determine the most effective improvements to component integration strategy.

At a minimum you should have:

  • Candidate must be a US citizen and have an active SECRET security clearance.
  • A bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering discipline is required.
  • 5-10 years experience.
  • Experience associated with product development, integration/deployment of communication networks, and the ability to thrive in an agile developmental environment. Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or Network certification is a plus.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Strong understanding of digital communications architectures and network/Internet Protocols (IP) with familiarity with industry and tactical network equipment including routers, switches, firewalls, network/cyber security, NSA Type-1 encryption, radios, and network timing devices.
  • Firm understanding of RF Radio communications and antenna design with the ability to provide analysis for predicted radio/antenna performance and potential co-site issues.
  • Experience with Position/Navigation/Timing (PNT) architectures and tactical system implementation, Assured-PNT (A-PNT) methods and technologies, and network-timing protocols are desired.
  • Experience with integrating and deploying industry and tactical radios such as HMS, Terrestrial Transmission Line of Sight (TRILOS), SILVUS, and HNR is a plus.
  • Some specialty engineering relative to integrating Indirect Fires Protection Capability (IFPC) within the Integrated Battle Command System (IBCS) is required.
  • Understanding of Technical Data Package (TDP) documentation which will require updating when engineering solutions are finalized, and Engineering Change Proposals are initiated.
  • Good communication skills, people skills, enthusiasm, and the ability to handle a variety of concurrent tasks in a team environment are essential.
  • Must have the ability to research data, analyze information, synthesize options, and make sound recommendations to staff contractors and government officials.
  • Candidate must work well independently, remain current on developing tactical communications technology, and identify requirements determining system design alternatives, coordinating the development and the implementation into IAMD systems.

You will be highly desirable if you have:

  • Knowledge of the IBCS system is highly desired.

Estimated Salary Range: $120,000-$140,000
