We are located in Thornton, CO just east of I-25 and across the street from the RTD light rail. We have a large, CLEAN shop and place great pride in our work environment and culture.

We are looking for skilled Quality Inspectors to join our team. In addition to our great culture, we offer:

 Quality Inspector Duties & Responsibilities

   · Provide support for the Quality Department and the Quality Management System

   · Measure and accept products for conformance to customer drawings and specifications 

   · Utilize tools such as CMM’s, O.D. and I.D. micrometers, comparators, thread gages, depth gages and other tools used for Quality Control

   · Conduct Receiving, First Article, In Process, and Final Inspections as required

   · Provide support to Operations, Supervisors, and production personnel with inspection results from setup and process adjustment activity

   · Work closely with machine operators during production and in-process inspections

   · Inspect incoming material for conformance to order specifications

   · Identify nonconformities in incoming material, work in process, and finished parts, and communicate them to the organization through the nonconforming parts procedures

   · Assist in or conduct in-process audits, floor audits, first article inspections and final inspections

   · Work with machine operators during floor audits

   · Other quality department duties as assigned by supervisor or management

Requirements

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

   · Experience performing inspections on machined parts and components

   · Basic knowledge of GD&T and ability to read engineering drawings

   · Quality measurement skills and ability to use calipers, micrometers, various gages (O.D., I.D., depth, etc.), and height gages

   · Familiarity with quality control systems/software

   · Problem solving skills in relation to manufacturing quality issues

   · Detail-oriented and organized

   · Ability to complete tasks independently 

   · Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate clearly with multiple departments

   · Good computer skills

   · Ability to manage multiple demands in a professional manner


Preferred Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

   · Knowledge of CMMs helpful

   · Willingness to learn and take on other responsibilities


Physical Demands 

   · Must be able to life, pull, push or apply force up to 35 lbs.

   · Frequent bending, stooping, pully and twisting may be required

   · Extended periods of sitting, standing or walking frequently required

   · Must have constant free mobility of hands, wrists, and arms   

   · Must be able to pass a company paid vision test 

  

Work Schedule and Environment

   · Work schedule is 4-10s; first shift Monday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

   · Work will be conducted on the production floor around machinery and/or in the inspection office at a desk; computer work is required

   · OUR SHOP AND INSPECTION OFFICES ARE TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED AND CLEAN!

   · Extended hours and/or overtime may be required based on workload

  

Compensation and Benefits


Starting Hourly Wage: $25.00 - $28.00
