Overview
If you are highly motivated with an operations mindset and risk mitigation experience, we need you as a financial analyst within the Continuous Underwriting Department. This team operates on the front line against financial risk, using extensive research, analysis, and customer empathy to set appropriate financial guardrails, driving decisions that significantly impact both our customers and Intuit.
What you'll bring
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to translate complex issues to front line agents
- Explain best practices and ideas on fraud and financial loss prevention techniques as well as any changes to procedures or policies to the team
- Operationally savvy, with an ability to identify and eliminate process friction thus managing time and priorities for themselves and their team
- Working knowledge Salesforce and Microsoft Office suites (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) with an emphasis on advanced Excel operations (Macros, Pivot Tables, VBA)
- Bachelor's degree is required in business, finance, or economics
- Minimum 2 years risk, fraud and financial analysis experience with an emphasis on payment processing and commercial, small business lending
How you will lead
- Review new payments applications for fraud, compliance, and credit risks
- Makes outbound calls to customers to validate information when necessary
- Makes decisions on application outcomes based on sound judgment
- Performs credit ratio analysis, constructs credit proposals, and makes limit recommendations based on collected data
- Applies defined procedures to independently review and evaluate new and existing customers
- Writes complete, succinct, and accurate case notes
- To be successful in this role the applicant must have a solid financial background, enhanced communication skills and be comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment
- They will also possess a strong analytical and problem-solving background with the ability to work independently outside a structured environment
- Finally, the ideal candidate will have the desire to improve procedures within the team and recommend enhancements to processes in which they interact
