What are the responsibilities and job description for the Banquet Server position at Inverness Golf Club?
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Arrives on time according to schedule and in proper uniform.
- Attends pre-shift meetings prior to banquet.
- Provides immediate attention to all members/guest upon seating and greets them by name in a courteous and professional manner.
- Properly knowing how to take a beverage / dinner order and using seat numbers.
- Takes beverage orders with suggestive selling in mind.
- Ensures orders are properly entered in Jonas program and uses seat numbers. Also relays any special request to kitchen
- When serving courses, ladies get served first from the left with the left hand.
- When clearing clear from the right with the right hand.
- Checks back with table within two minutes to ensure member/guest satisfaction.
- Serves dessert, coffee and after dinner drinks.
- Responsible for the complete dining experience assists bussers with filling water glasses, bread, & butter to tables, proper clearing procedures, resetting of tables and overall table maintenance.
- Always on the dining room floor to insure proper service to the membership and guests.
- Closes all chits and runs an end of shift report at end of shift and verifies any discrepancies with Manager on duty
- Accepts member/guest complaints and comments and immediately involves the Dining Room Manager or Manger on Duty to achieve satisfaction in a timely and professional manner
- Reflects a friendly, sincere and courteous attitude at all times.
- Promotes a positive work environment and promotes a positive team atmosphere with all management and staff.
- Any and all other duties as requested by Management.
Supervises: No supervisory duties are included in this position.
