Summary/Objective:
The Material Handler completes and ensures work assignments are being completed daily within the distribution center. This may include unloading trucks, pulling orders for customers, loading trucks, and transferring product locations.
Essential Functions:
- Unloads materials and products from trucks and containers.
- Pulls product for orders and scan to order and transfer locations.
- Loads trucks for delivery to customers.
- Cross trains on all facets within the distribution center as to ensure continuity/productivity of the distribution center.
- Consistently inspects and identifies shortages/damages and relates findings to management for quick resolution to enable smooth flow of operations.
- Pulls and prepares orders for LTL, FedEx, and customer pickups.
- Checks all incoming/outgoing stock to ensure product is in good condition and all company documents are completed accurately and in proper documented form.
- Ensures inventory is in compliance with Inventory Control standards to avoid issues and foster a continuous improvement culture.
- Completes daily forklift checklist, reporting mechanical or other difficulties to supervisor.
- Follows all safety rules.
- Performs other duties as requested to full accountability.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse environment, working on and around forklifts. This role routinely uses standard warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklift, scan gun, tape gun. Noise such as warehouse equipment and machinery. This list is not all inclusive.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to speak and listen. This position requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, crouching, stooping, as well as using hands and fingers to manage, feel, lift, and/or operate equipment, scanner, and computer; reach with hands and arms. The employee may be required to lift/move up to 100 pounds with their team’s assistance.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, occasional overtime, as necessary.

Required Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Satisfactorily pass forklift driving training program; demonstrate safe handling of forklift in an on-site test.
Preferred Education and Experience:
- State motor vehicle operator’s license for operation of forklift highly preferred.
