Essential Functions/Responsibilities: Responsible for both mechanical and electrical engineering maintenance to ensure operational efficiency of all electrical and mechanical systems. Coordinates with management to ensure efficiency in preventative maintenance and new equipment installation. Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and the plant facility’s equipment. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines. Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test and make adjustments. Responsible for preventative maintenance program of the entire facility including maintaining proper documentations. Responsible for maintaining the facilities Grounds clean and up keep with any necessary maintenance. Maintains equipment documentation files including prints, manuals, and other pertinent information. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties. Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision Maintain clean and orderly work areas. Responsible for following all FDA & GMP’s at all times. Responsible for following ALL Plant Safety Rules and OSHA Rules: understand and follow plant safety rules including/but not limited to safe lifting practices, safety on machine operations. |
Education, Work Experience, Skill Requirements & Certifications: High School Graduate or GED equivalent Completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education and production maintenance experience. 4 years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC. 4 years of supervisor experience in a mechanical/maintenance role. Skills Required: Excellent communication, written and grammatical skills. Ability to read, speak and write in English Ability to follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) plant safety and OSHA requirements Proven success with working in a team environment.
