YOUR PURPOSE

Effectively manages all aspects related to the shipping department, this includes all inbound and outbound logistics as well as maintaining accurate inventory and documentation.

Foster a fair and congenial employment environment that encourages positive employee relations and supports retention. Promote a strong customer centric team atmosphere with on time deliveries and quickly resolving customers concerns. Provide a safe working environment.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

- Firm grasp of supply chain, inventory, distribution, business, and management principles

- Ability to manage, coach, and provide training

- Exceptional organizational and analytical skills

- Working knowledge of logistics and inventory software ERP systems

- Manage and develop shipping personnel

- Understanding and knowledge of internal SOPs

- Develops strong relationships with new and existing carriers that are aligned with our business model and strategies

- Confirm all shipping equipment and documentation is available to handle daily workload.

- Ensure all customer orders are loaded properly and all accompanying paperwork is complete and accurate.

- involved in appreciating and reprimanding members of the shipping team as well as in hiring/firing process

- Skilled in negotiating rates and finding the best deals for truckloads

- Developing processes and providing training to the team.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Bachelor’s Degree highly preferred.

Experience

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, or related industry

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

- Computer skills needed: Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel

- Ability to read, understand, and communicate in English

- Working knowledge of carriers and all modes of transportation

- Working knowledge of logistics and ERP software (SAP Preferred)

- Strong communication, problem solving, organizational, and process improvement skills

Certification or License Department GMP and SOP requirements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

• Day shift
