Job Posting for Transportation Structural Project Manager / Engineer at MKEC Engineering
MKEC is looking for a Transportation Structural Bridge Engineer, Project Manager at our Oklahoma City, Wichita, Overland Park and Tulsa locations to assist with the design and production of DOT, turnpike, county and municipal transportation projects.
Responsibilities:
Prior experience in bridge design.
Design and assist with the production of bridge projects
Prepare and assist with project proposals, interviews and presentations to clients
Understanding of bridge hydraulics
Provide leadership, guidance and instruction to staff members.
Attend client meetings to ensure design meets their needs and objectives.
Develop and maintain client relations
Requirements:
B.S. in Engineering from an accredited institution
Experience ranging from recent or upcoming graduate to 5 years of experience in transportation projects involving DOT, Turnpike, county and municipal work
Proficient in AutoCAD or MicroStation
Preferred knowledge of software such as MDX and LEAP Bridge
Proficient user of Microsoft Office and Excel
Highly organized, self-motivated and able to handle multiple projects at once. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and time management skills are required
Ability to work well under pressure of deadlines, exhibit good business judgement and the ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
Minimum EI accreditation with the expectation of obtaining a PE license in a timely manner
Knowledge of local standards and requirements is preferred.
