Position Summary:
To assist in the development, promotion and supervision of all facets of the Colleges Strength & Conditioning program. Assist the head coach in guiding student-athletes through a regimen of exercises to optimize performance and decrease potential for injury.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assist the head coach in designing and implementing sport-specific strength & conditioning programs. Work directly with head coaches of assigned teams to best prepare student-athletes for competition.
- Assist the head coach with upkeep, cleanliness, and security of the varsity weight room.
- Assist the head coach in carrying out rehabilitation for injured student-athletes in coordination with the Sports Medicine staff.
- Maintain student-athlete records and monitor progress of training programs
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Bachelors Degree Required
- Masters Preferred
- Minimum of 1 Year experience
- Certification by the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches association (CSCCa) or equivalent
- Current First Aid
- Current CPR Certification
