COUNTY OF IONIA
POSITION OPENING
Full-Time Court Recorder
Pay Grade 8/ 37.5 hours per week
Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma, and either a current CEO or CER certification or willingness and ability to obtain the proper CER certification in the earliest class available.
General Summary: Under the supervision of a circuit judge, serves as an official court recorder making verbatim records of all court proceedings. Maintains the official court record of court proceedings, including identification of speakers, and marking exhibits. Prepares and produces a hard copy transcript on request or for appellate purposes. Prepares and submits appropriate certificates of ordering and filing of transcripts to appellate court and other parties. Responds to miscellaneous correspondence and telephone inquiries providing information and assistance. Provides various other clerical support tasks for judge and/or judicial staff.
