Senior Operations Analyst

Location: Oakville, ON

Overview:

The Senior Operations Analyst will provide on-going support to the Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer (COO) in providing key insights to help make key business decisions, directly support field engagement management and optimizing business performance. This role will be located in Oakville, ON.

What you’ll do as a Regional Operations Manager at Spark Power:

• Supports the business decision-making process through data collection, analytical modeling, business case creation and reporting, presentation development.
• Key driver to reconcile data across a variety of systems and provide feedback on variances on an on-going basis, across the various line of business and down through the branch level. Identify trends, propose actions.
• Support Supply Chain and Operational Excellence teams in analyzing spend and providing cost analysis to realize cost savings across the organization.
• Provide financial analysis support to the COO and identify opportunities for process improvement or gaps in knowledge.
• Support the monthly reporting process and provide on-going insights to the COO in advance of the final outlook.
• Assist in additional ad-hoc reporting and business review support as required.
• Support and Lead Field Engagement Activities in partnership with P&C partners.
• Development role for future leadership opportunities

• Communication skills: Effectively communicate key findings and analysis in both a written an oral format. Ability to navigate complex discussions and facilitate group discussions to a clear ask and outcome.
• Critical analysis skills: Possesses strong domain knowledge and ability to identify gaps, areas of improvement and understand all aspects of the problem.
• Problem solving skills: Ability to produce viable solutions and present business cases for those solutions tied to financial results.
• Technical skills: Has strong technical skills as it relates to data collection, reporting and analysis through standard tools used for business analysis.
• Execution skills: Ability to execute on solutions, provide and monitor deliverables for the organization.

Do you have the Spark? Here’s what we are looking for:

• A minimum 3-5 years of relevant work experience. Comfortable with producing complex data models and working with Excel and/Business Analysis software; some experience supporting and leading teams.
• Relevant educational degree or diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Data Analytics.
• MBA / CPA preferred
• Highly computer proficient, including but not limited to, MS Office Suite with advanced Excel skills; NetSuite experience is preferred
• Able to work successfully in a fast-paced and continuously changing workplace. Experience and/or training in effective change management strategies and leadership is an asset.
• Demonstrated ability to meet defined metrics and deadlines
