School Facilitator
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in education, or related field preferred.- Experience working in a K-12 education system preferred.
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the District may find appropriate and acceptable.
REPORTS TO: Principal
JOB GOAL: Work cooperatively with building and district staff. To manage support services in order to enhance the morale of school district personnel, promote the overall efficiency of the school system, and maximize the educational opportunities available to each child.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises and evaluates non-instructional classified staff at the site.
- Responsible for all administrative duties that are not directly related to instruction and student achievement including assisting the principal in managing school activities
- Manages school scheduling, special events, field trips, cafeteria, transportation, maintenance, playgrounds and cleaning.
- Coordination of activities, such as special events
- Manages community use of school site.
- Manages school maintenance projects.
- Transportation and building maintenance
- Assists the Principal with the preparation and implementation of the school safety plan: disaster preparation, fire drills, student, staff and public safety, and student health.
- Maintains equipment, textbook and supply inventories.
- Monitors student attendance and coordinates efforts to improve student attendance.
- Coordinates with the principal to maintain a positive, safe learning environment for students by enforcing the school discipline plan.
- Promotes the school and District through positive relations with community, business, parents and students.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the Principal.
- Plan, organize, coordinate and control large group events, classified meetings, and community and family engagement events.
- Communicate effectively.

Days worked:
July 1 through June 30 (200 days – 182 scheduled days and 18 unscheduled days to be determined with administrator) (8 hr work day plus a 30 minute unpaid lunch, equals a total 8.5 hr/day at the bldg.)
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 200 days per school yr. Salary and calendar year to be established by the Board of Education.
EVALUATION: Performance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board’s policy on Evaluation of Professional Personnel.
