What are the responsibilities and job description for the Brake Press Operator position at IOWA STAFFING?
Immediate openings for a Machinist/Brake Press Operator. This position will entail operating machinery, fabricating and assembling parts, visually inspecting parts, and manufacturing duties. The positions are on the 1st and 2nd shifts (hours will vary by location). Pay is $18.00-$23.00 an hour based on experience. These are temp-to-hire positions with a great benefits package once you are hired on permanently!
Below are the requirements:
-Recent verifiable work history as a Machinist in a manufacturing environment. This includes working with Mills/Lathes.
-Must provide a pair of Steel Toe Boots
-Basic math skills and reading skills in English is required.
-Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds on a repetitive basis
-Ability to read tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch – will be tested. Ability to calipers and micrometers is a plus.
-Ability to read blue prints is a plus.
-Must have good organizational skills and a professional demeanor.
