Job Posting for Manufacturing Technician at IPG Photonics
Primary responsibility is support of new product introduction. Tasks include managing entire production flow, work order data entry, laboratory up-keep. Candidate must have the ability to follow, maintain, and assist in documenting operational processes and must be capable of learning quickly on a variety of tasks. Prompt entry of data in databases and log files and ability to report information from same. Daily communication with Manufacturing team and Product Development team is required to ensure a smooth transition of new designs to volume production.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills:
Ability to handle small, sensitive and high value components with care.
Experience handling and cleaning Optics.
Experience handling, cleaving and splicing optical fiber
Strong written and communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to follow transactional procedures.
Ability to focus on task at hand and maintain accuracy and quality of work.
Driven to improve the efficiency of processes and the adherence to those processes & procedures.
