About the role:
We are looking for a Value Stream Lead who is responsible for leading the value stream and building out our digital capabilities that support Agency and Distribution Management across our Life and Health channels. This role will lead the development and execution of digital programs and initiatives which have broad impact across the enterprise. You will partner with cross company stakeholders and senior leaders, to understand business needs, market opportunities, and build a strategy, roadmap, and execution plan for the value stream that aligns with our company objectives.
What you'll be doing:
- Build the value stream strategies and roadmaps to meet our company's objectives for Agency Distribution Management which includes functions such as onboarding of partners, licensing, and appointing of agents and commissions management, partner and agent reporting and portals and more.
- Develop deep relationships and partner closely with cross-functional teams (i.e., operations marketing, strategy, sales, customer success, risk, and compliance) to gain an understanding of the key problems to focus on and how we plan to solve them
- Cultivate a deep understanding of our internal and external users throughout their journey, and advocate for product solutions based on their needs and pain points
- Present data-driven insights about the competitive environment and our users and propose solutions that have a meaningful impact on defined core metrics for the business.
- Manage respective stakeholders, responsible for the translation of strategic themes into trackable initiatives and collaborate with the key stakeholders to create epics from the Initiatives.
- Produce Management team reporting and communicate on requests/expectations
- Work with the leadership team, business stakeholders and wider product organization to prioritize the Agency Value stream backlog to align with cross functional initiatives.
- Evaluate 3rd party product vendors as required to assess build vs buy decision with appropriate business cases, ROI, risk, and dependencies of the options.
- Lead a broad team of delivery professionals to meet deliverables and help manage risks and dependencies to address critical bottlenecks.
- Manage product managers and product analysts if needed.

About You:
- You have experience in the Life & Health Insurance space and understand the needs of how to successfully serve our agents and distribution partners through seamless experiences.
- Drive decisions taking a user-centered approach and present the needs of those users' using analytics and metrics. You balance data with business objectives and considers how product decision impact across the functions of the business.
- You understand what is required to execute product decisions while operating in a risk and regulated environment.
- Experience managing a complex set of business needs and can define a 1-to-2-year roadmap for a value stream and consistently deliver on company objectives
- Experience leading prioritization process across multiple competing objectives. You know how to consider, and manager stakeholder needs and present trade-offs to the organization to support make challenging decisions on the largest driver of value.
- Monitor and support the delivery value stream for success, working with the team leads to recommend changes for effectiveness and managing current and future capacity needs.
- Comfortable balancing strategic thought leadership with executing on tactical work when required.
- Operator in a fast and agile environment with a passion for navigating ambiguous problem areas, combining resiliency with flexibility for change.
- Exhibit exceptional written and verbal communication skills and have a proven track record of building strong relationships with stakeholders.
