What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Assurance Manager position at IQ Manufacturing?
Quality Manager needed at fast growing AS 9100, ISO 9001, NIST 800-171 compliant and ITAR Registered manufacturing company.
Job shop type environment - must be able to work independently on a wide variety of different parts and materials.
Blue print reading and knowledge of GD&T is a must!!
This position also engages in inspection and testing activities to ensure a high level of accuracy and productivity. It also includes developing and analyzing statistical data and product specifications to determine standards.
Creation of documents and implementing inspection procedures.
Maintains an active role in internal improvement team.
Handles company surveillance and recertification audits and interfaces directly with auditors.
Designs and develops quality control training programs.
Provide engineering support to operations, ensuring consistent application of quality techniques.
Resolve quality issues of capability, tolerance, and materials related issues.
Resolve quality issues by identifying problems, examining solution options, implementing action plans, and providing resources.
Effectively communicate and reinforce commitment to quality improvement efforts.
Determine when process stability and capability studies should be performed on existing processes.
Review and analyze results, recommend changes to processes based upon findings, and perform follow up to verify effectiveness.
Participate in advanced Product Quality Planning activities to determine appropriate use of existing and new measurement systems during new tool or process design and startup.
Facilitate and promote use of appropriate problem solving techniques for effective root cause analysis and successful corrective action.
Apply appropriate use of statistical techniques. Determine and apply appropriate Measurement System Analysis tools.
Qualifications:
Blue print reading and knowledge of GD&T is a must!!
Ability to meet established internal and customer deadlines.
Ability to work within a team environment.
Ability to communicate written and verbally to team members, customers and vendors.
Must have excellent attendance.
Scanning / CMM background, preferred.
International Material Data System (IMDS) experience is a plus ,
AS9100/ ISO certification experience is a plus.
Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to use Microsoft Office Suites and Google Sheets.
Ability to use office machines to scan, send and store date.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Dependability.
Valid Driver License (REQUIRED).
MUST be able to pass company paid physical, drug screen and background check.
