The Sr. Principal of Information Management & Analytics Solutions is a strategic position that delivers key results by growing and sustaining business in key accounts through consultative selling abilities, client advisory and relationship skills, and credibility across business and technical subject areas. Key responsibilities are to directly manage senior client stakeholders, whilst leading large and transformative Information Management Programs (end to end).

This position is part of the Information Management COE in the US which offers Technology & Services in support of Life Science Organization’s End to End Data Management, Analytics, Governance & Enablement needs.   The Sr. Principal will have expertise and deep acumen across these areas.  The business lines that this position will be responsible for are:  Data Warehousing & Data Science, Data Integration, Master Data Mgmt., Data Governance & Stewardship, and Analytics, Insights & Reporting. 

The primary focus of the Subject Area and the position will be Commercial Pharma functions.   This includes traditional Commercial Data Landscaping, Acquisition, Integration and Reporting; through to more advanced and evolving areas such as Digital, Media, Omnichannel, Next Best Action and advanced AI/ML workbenches.   While this position is in support of our US business line; IQVIA and the Information Management COE is a global group; aligning to our customer’s needs and solutions globally. 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to lead sales effort that will develop business in new and existing client bases; expanding IQVIA’s brand recognition and business line in a highly competitive environment.
  • Consult with customers (IT and Biz) to develop the concept of the project wherever applicable.
  • Own entire Information Management offering suite, create and articulate compelling value propositions in new and existing client base.
  • Drive end-to-end ownership on proposals. Drive development and presentation of proposal
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline leveraging sales force automation tools and best practices.
  • Leverage global and regional supportive organization.
  • Oversee project management and ensure best practices being adhered. Stay responsible for the project level profitability.
  • Lead and mentor talented and high performing Information Management team from different levels and different background (consulting, technology, program management etc.).
  • Responsible for overall client satisfaction through engagement.
  • Ensure delivery excellence through solid planning and staffing as well as overall guidance of the IQVIA teams and oversee the engagement in a Principal-in-Charge (PIC) role with full responsibility vis-à-vis the client for quality, time and budget.
  • Assists businesses and other organizations to operate more efficiently by identifying and measuring problems, and recommending, customizing and implementing solutions surrounding management, technology, strategy, staffing and solutions.
  • Reviews and analyzes client requirements and develops insightful, value add proposals; communicates with clients; develops and may present complete client-specific solutions and recommendations. Creates client reports. 
  • Maintains in-depth and extremely current knowledge of client’s strategies, business issues and relationships from senior management on down.
  • Remains current on industry, client and competitive trends and directions in order to anticipate and identify new business challenges and issues at focus clients.
  • Contributes to the enhanced awareness of IQVIA in the market place, e.g. through speaking engagements, client meetings, publications etc.
  • Proactively mentors, coaches and shares subject matter expertise with others to elevate our capabilities to deliver world-class solutions for clients.

Experience

  • Typically requires 15 years of professional experience.
  • Track record of consulting and consultative selling/engagement 5 Years.
  • Proven experience in credibly managing sales effort with senior client stakeholders.
  • Several years of project experience with pharma and other healthcare industries (sound knowledge of the pharma industry and its core processes is a must).
  • Experience in Information Management processes, standards, tools and technologies. Overall appreciation of Enterprise architecture applicable for large pharma companies relevant for analytics.
  • Sound understanding of data management, data governance processes and ability to advise clients will be a great plus.
  • Prior direct pharma industry experience welcome.

Knowledge

  • Drives the strategic direction of thought leadership and intellectual capital for the Information Management segment and works to ensure the organization is ahead of the market regarding the utilization of new or innovative best practices.

Skills and Abilities

  • In depth and long standing relationships with client companies, especially at a senior level.
  • Requires deep expertise in Information Management yet demonstrates the ability and knowledge to link across multiple CoE expertise areas.  These include Sales, marketing, Commercial Operations, IT technology, Digital, Media, Real World…etc.
  • Requires demonstrated experience in leading cross practice teams in the capture of projects of significant size and scope.
  • Possesses exemplary business development skills.
  • Has broad knowledge of the life sciences industry.
  • In-depth understanding of IQVIA data assets and IQVIA core offerings.
  • Works willingly and effectively with others in and across the organization to accomplish team goals.
  • Deep understanding of Information Mgmt. Technology, 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.
  • Knowledge of consulting methods, tools and techniques, related to functional area.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the marketplace and professional/trade associations key people and companies.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning and change management skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills.
  • Values people’s opinions and encourages knowledge sharing. High level of energy, drive and enthusiasm.
  • Able to manage complex relationships and juggle priorities.
  • Ability to profitably price engagements.
  • Has strong client relationship and influencing skills.
