The Role: We have multiple Data Engineer roles available across Sydney and Melbourne across our Investment Management and Wealth teams. You’ll be part of a collaborative, AGILE team passionate about developing high performance, scalable web applications. You will be experienced across Python and ETL tools like Snowflake or others. We're passionate about improvement as we introduce continuous integration and continuous delivery best practices into our engineering environment. You'll work alongside talented Engineers who are passionate about keeping up to date with the latest trends and tools while having access to formal training opportunities at Iress. What you will be doing: Develop world-leading products for financial markets and wealth management domains using modern tools and techniques Be involved from analysis through to testing design Review and analyse business requirements, developing solutions to enhance the Iress product offering and the end user experience Execute end-to-end testing, automated testing and increase test coverage of our wealth product What you will need: Strong ETL / Senior Data Engineering experience in large scale data environments Experience using multiple languages -Python, C#, .Net, C ,Java Experience in building, designing or leveraging API techniques including RESTful, SOAP or socket based Devops experience in a cloud environment including deployment and architecture, Terraform will be an advantage Database experience and understanding of object orientated program Ability to structure test code effectively and write robust test cases Why work with us? 6 paid days per year to extend your weekends State-of-the-art offices Equity grants for our top 25% performers Annual Profit Share when Iress meets its annual profit targets Access to learning and development programs through Udemy 3 days’ leave per year for charity initiatives Global 36-hour hackathon Starting school leave - 8.5 days of leave to assist your kids with the transition to school Discounted health insurance premiums Up to 26 weeks’ paid parental leave for primary carers (up to 4 weeks for secondary carers), and the ability to work part-time when returning to work.
